Harvest is here!!!
Our grapes are almost ready to pick! We are expecting to bring some of our fruit in this week. Let the fun begin! We will keep you updated on how the harvest is going, and when you might have a chance to see the excitement.

  • Plenitude: Best of Category! Plenitude, our stainless steel aged Chardonnay and Viognier blend just won "best of Category" for Blended White Wine in the prestigious Vinifera Winegrowers Association Competition in Washington D.C.
  • Claret medals in LA! Our beloved Claret, a blend of Cabernet and Mourvedre and our family reserve wine, took a bronze medal at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. We were up against amazing wines from not only the East Coast or even just the US, but from around the world.

6/22/07 - We'll miss you...
Wolf Mountain is very sad to announce the passing of our legendary Vineyard and winery mascot, Cree. She spent many years greeting guests and steeling their hearts with her sweet smile and unforgettable blue eyes. There will never be another dog quite like Cree, and she will be greatly missed.

4/9/07 - Georgia's Crazy Weather deals cold blow to early vines.

We want to ensure all of our loyal customers that even though there was quite a bit of damage done to the vineyards, the vines will produce fruit this year, and we will have no problems keeping up our production to keep bringing you Wolf Mountain's Award winning wines.

For those of you that weren't aware, Friday and Saturday nights temperatures dropped down into the low 20's. The low temperatures, preceded by two weeks of unseasonably warm temperatures encouraging the grapevines to grow faster than normal, caused wide spread damage to the new growth. There was absolutely nothing that could be done to prevent it, as it was too cold and too windy to use any of the standard frost mitigation procedures. However, since it was fairly young growth, and we are still very early into our growing season, the vines will come back and with any luck, will produce near normal yields.
